Northern Elegance Inspiration

by Faith
We dreamed up this editorial at Calhoun Beach Club with Laura Ivanova Photography filled with shades of gold, powdered blue and white making it the perfect recipe for a warm and inviting inspiration.  For this styled celebration we wanted to incorporate Southern charming traditions while keeping an air of elegance the North is known for.  The Calhoun Beach Club was of course the perfect setting-– with its clean sleek lines, and swanky vibe.
Gretchen Berry Design Co. created a (to-die-for) custom invitation suite adding such a delicate touch. A monogram is also seen throughout: from the paper goods to the two-tier cake. Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling fashioned beautiful bouquets, garlands, and lush centerpieces to create a breathtakingly posh look.

The Art of Marriage

by Faith

Happy Monday! This past weekend we observed such a beautiful ceremony at Aria. The reading shared was Wilferd A. Peterson’s “The Art of Marriage”.  I hope you’ll enjoy the poem as much as I did.

The Art of Marriage
By Wilferd A. Peterson
The little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.

It is never going to sleep angry.
It is at no time taking the other for granted;
the courtship should not end with the honeymoon,
it should continue through all the years.

It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice,
but in the spirit of joy.

It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating

gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is not expecting the husband to wear a halo or
the wife to have wings of an angel. It is not looking for perfection in each other.

It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humor. I
is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is finding room for the things of the spirit.

It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal,
dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal.
It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.

McNamara Alumni Center Wedding |Tiffany + Erik

by Faith

Meet Tiffany + Erik, but better known as Terrifik (can they get any cuter!?). Their winter wedding was held at the McNamara Alumni Center on 2-11-12 (the perfect date, since Erik is into numbers). It was a rare snow-free beautiful day that their family arriving from Florida could appreciate. These two (and their guests), know how to party and no better couple to capture it all than Kris + Jes of Clewell Photography. We had plenty of fun working with Tiff + Erik and every bit of the Unbooth action proves it. We see the passion these two have for one another, and know that they’ll continue to fall more in love as each new day begins. We wish these two an abundance of love, laughter, and happiness (and much more)!

The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis Wedding| Sara + Brian

by Faith

In celebration of Valentine’s Day we wanted to share one of our sweetest couples! Meet Sara + Brian, their love of music, of their nearest and dearest (which includes their students), and of each other rings true. They were married at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis, blocks away from Loring Park, where Brian proposed. Sara + Brian wanted to ensure their wedding day was elegant, light-hearted and classic. We jumped at the chance to assist in setting such a tone for their guests on their wedding day. The day was filled with touching words shared by loved ones, a Sigur Rios piece arranged by Brian, and a band that kept guests on their feet through out the evening. Their day couldn’t be any more romantic.

Cadence Cornelius Photographs was there to capture every moment of it. Amy of Spruce Flowers and Home created gorgeous bouquets and floral arrangements. We wish Sara + Brian an abundance of love and happiness!
